Pull up a chair and join us today at 2:00pm EST (click on the Stations Button for a list or listen live). Join us and our friends, Linda Kearsley, Sally McLeod, and Leslie Currin, as we discuss local volunteering opportunities. You don’t have to go to another country to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Linda Kearsley has been with Senior Services for 5 years. Her first position was in Nutrition Services as the Senior Lunch Program Coordinator, overseeing the congregate nutrition lunch sites located in four different areas. When the Nutrition Services Director position became available, she moved into that position 3 years ago. She now oversees both the Meals-on-Wheels and Senior Lunch programs and her current title is Vice President of Nutrition Services.
Sally McLeod is a native of Winston-Salem and serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Meals-on-Wheels program of Senior Services, Inc. She feels that is an honor to be part of this organization, and she is happy to play a small part in assisting the homebound elderly of Forsyth County to live as independently as possible.
Leslie Currin is the Director of Public Relations for Raleigh Rescue Mission. Seven years ago Currin started at the Mission as the volunteer assistant and after a brief volunteer trip to Ecuador she returned to the Mission to serve as their Director of Public Relations. Currin, a graduate from UNC Chapel Hill, grew up in Raleigh and enjoys traveling and spending time with her golden retriever.
