Today’s Special is: Let’s talk –we want to hear from you!
Can you believe it is August already? I don’t know about you, but for me, the summer just flies by. It is such a busy time of year. Our schedule and routine just fly right out the window. It’s full of vacations, cleaning projects, play dates with friends and fun things to do and don’t forget the lazy do nothing days where you stay in your pajamas all day long. It’s sad when those things come to an end but at the same time there is also a sense of relief to be back in a routine. Then there is the excitement of a new year, making things better and more exciting. There will be new friends and new challenges. Going back to school is kind of like starting a new adventure whether you are a kid, a middle schooler, a high schooler or a homeschooler, a parent , a grandparent or even a teacher.
This week, we’re talking about going back to school and we’ve brought along a few different perspectives for you; A home school student, a teacher, a parent of a college student, and a parent of a kindergardener. Which one do you relate the most to?
Join us this week and hear how they approach the new school year. Leave us a comment and share with us how YOU approach a new school year. Here are some questions to get you started:
What traditions do you have at this time of year? When I was a kid my great aunts would give my parents $100 for each kid and we would shop for back to school clothes. (yes, that was a long time ago when $100 would actually buy a year’s worth of clothes-or at least a good start).
How do you prepare for the new school year? Do you set goals, buy supplies, start a new routine early?
What do you like the most about this time of year? What do you like the least?
Leave us a comment and let us know how YOU approach back to school.
