I just heard this podcast. Luanne, I like your story about Boots. I was listening as I was cleaning my bathroom and this thought struck me. When I am low, I don’t think of the speakers I’ve heard or the gifted writers I have read. No, I think of the “Boots” in my own life. In other words, the difference we make to others, one-on-one, is what deeply impacts another person. We discount this. No writer, no matter how gifted, has made me chili and drove to my house to deliver it after my baby was born.
