Thanks for the opportunity to chat about Living Single in a Couples World, LuAnn, Ramona, Carol, and Sam! You women are simply lovely, and I’m pleased to do life with you! I’ve written more about this on my blog today: http://www.panthersandpetals4Him.blogspot.com – come on over!

About a year and a half ago, I wrote a blog series on my journey as a single woman/mom. It was really a big deal for me to put personal things like that on display, but God led me to do it and so I did. Today, he prompted me to post it on my Facebook again and share. I was reluctant, but I did it. I don’t think it is a coincidence that this showed up on my Facebook a few hours later. Of course, I have no idea who He is wanting to read my words, but they may be of encouragement to someone else who is walking a road I have already been down. So, here it is if anyone is interested: http://walkingthewriteway.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-god-of-second-chances-part-1.html Being single had it’s definite struggles, but I know that I am SOOOO much closer to God now than I would have been had I not experienced that time in my life!

Thanks so much! This topic weighs heavily on my heart. Going through divorce has taught me the true meaning of loneliness. I never understood when I used that word what it meant until now. Much like saying, I am hungry. I am blessed to not truly understand what that word means. My journey has allowed me to recognize others who are lonely and to do my best, with God all around me, to reach out and touch someone’s life in a positive way. Thank you for sharing your stories of being single and the beautiful way you shared that “1″ is a whole number. Thanks again!

Christin, thank you for sharing your heart. Being vulnerable can be so difficult, but your openness is a thing of beauty. I enjoyed reading your thoughts on your blog. Hope you’ll continue moving forward and leading others to those still streams of peace that Jesus carved out just for us.

    Blessings!

    Sam

Dawn, such a poignant analogy: “…Much like saying I am hungry…” Wow, I’ve never thought of an emotion like that, but it’s so true. Thank you for sharing and your encouragement. May His truth saturate to the deepest portions of your soul and breath fresh life and hope and love there as you walk this new road.

    xoxo, Sam
