Today’s Focus is: God: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit
Carefully prepared just for you by your friend, Julie Marie White
Blessing:

Great God in heaven, we stand in awe of You. The kindness of Your heart overwhelms my soul. I pray that as we enter this time today You would make us aware of Who You are. Reveal Your truths to us. Make Your will known. Allow us to use this time to draw close to You. For it’s in Jesus name we pray, amen.

Daily Bread:

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

1 John 5:7 KJV

Main Course:

The center of the Christian faith and the basis of all revelation is the understanding of who God is. Scripture gives us a clear picture of the unity between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one. As you will see in scripture, God existed in the beginning. His Word had a form that was the mirror image of God himself. Through the Word all things were created. And again, God manifests his very essence and inward nature to us through the Holy Spirit, who is also known as the Spirit of God.

1 John 5:7

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

COLOSSIANS 1:12-23

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the Head of the body, the church: Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] He might have the preeminence.

For it pleased [the Father] that in Him should all fullness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in [your] mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight:

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.”

Closing:

Precious Heavenly Father, You are never changing. What comfort that brings me! To know that the I Am is still I Am. Father help us to embrace the God of the creation, the God of Moses and Noah… As we follow You may we never doubt Your capabilities. May we trust You to hear our prayers and answer them in only a way that You can. May we seek to live a life that pleases only You. For it’s in Jesus name I pray, amen.
