Please read

Colossians 1:17-22
Colossians 2:10
Ephesians 1:10
Ephesians 1:22
Philippians 2:9-11

Main Course:

It is foundational to our faith to believe in His Deity; fully man and fully God. All powerful,(Omnipotent), all Knowing (Omniscient), past present and future all present (Omnipresent), all authority, lacking nothing! Jesus IS the Universal Creator! He is filled with the fullness of God and His death and resurrection defeated all of the opposition!

Do you need encouragement today? Check out this verse.

“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by The Cross.” Colossians 2:15

Jesus, He is God and His Deity is the glory of God the Father.

For in Christ all fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.

Colossians 2:9

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Colossians 1:15-17

Jesus is also the firstborn over all creation. These words do not mean that Jesus was the first person God created. That is a belief of the cult of Mormonism, that Jesus is the first created by God. If Jesus had been created, He would be less than God. The analogy of Jesus being the firstborn actually refers to His exalted position.

The firstborn in a Jewish family was the rightful heir to the family inheritance, and all of creation belongs to Jesus because He created it (John 1:1-2). All things were also created for Him, the world in all of its beauty was not created primarily for our benefit but for Jesus’ honor (Romans 11:36), (Colossians 1:16). And Jesus is the One who holds everything together to this day (Colossians 1:17).*4

Always keep Jesus first in your life, acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior. It is easy to acknowledge Him as Savior and skip off into the world and forget to daily acknowledge Him and Lord too.

What does that mean to acknowledge Him as Lord every day?

What are some ways we can do this?

I think if we invite Him into all of the decisions /plans that we make we will find that we are acknowledging His rightful place in our lives. Give His the first of everything, remember He died in our place, and in love we give Him first place over everything. He is Lord, so love Him with all of your heart and with all of your mind and with all of your soul.

  • When we were dead in our sin Christ died for us. God made us alive in Christ Jesus and our sins are forgiven to be remembered no more! Give Him first place in your life.
  • We live under the authority of Jesus as born again Christians. Live as His reprehensive or ambassador of His grace sharing the good news of the Gospel in Jesus Christ alone!

Meditate on this and the magnitude of this revelation fully God fully man Jesus is Superior!

Jesus has all authority over everything, how can knowing this help you?

You need to really know this truth deep down today. Resolve to believe this truth.

What power is trying to take you down today? What is it … sickness, depression, bad news?

Please remember He has the final authority! Please keep your eyes fixed on the Word and He will bring you through whatever it is for His glory. Put all of your trust in Him. No matter the outcome, trust and obey Him.

Your Turn:

What did Paul reveal that we really fight against? Look up Ephesians 6:12.

Now look up this passage. Galatians 1:3-5 What were we rescued from and Who saved us?

Read the second chapter of Colossians. Make Jesus first in everything today!
