Remembering Who

Do you ever get confused? I'm not talking about where I left my keys or parked my car.

Do you ever forget for just a moment who you are?

If we are honest I bet we've all experienced it.

We get up, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, jump into OUR day. The to-do list is long. The pressure is strong. We just wish there was a light somewhere down the tunnel. But we don't see it. We get lost in our routine and keep plugging along.

But there it is. We get lost. When you're lost, you forget. You're not quite sure how you got here and you have no clue how to get out. You just know that nothing feels right.

At those moments, if we're honest, we've forgotten more than where we are. We've lost WHO we are.

You ARE a child of God. (John 1:12)

You ARE a friend of Christ. (John 15:15)

You ARE a member of Christ's body. (1 Cor. 12:27)

You ARE sealed by God (2 Cor. 1:21-22)

You ARE a citizen of heaven. (Phil. 3:20)

You ARE blameless. (Eph. 1:4)

You ARE forgiven. (Eph. 1:8)

You ARE a child with purpose. (Eph. 1:9)

The list is endless. You get the picture?

The next time you get lost in a sea of mundane, remember who God says you are.
