Week 18
Day 123
The Seed of the Gospel: Harvesters Needed

Matthew 9:35-38

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Why was Jesus going through the towns and villages, teaching and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom?

Why wouldn’t Jesus just stay in one place and do His work out of a fixed location?

What need was Jesus fulfilling in His itinerate mission?

What prayer request did He ask His disciples to pray about?

Pen a prayer below, in like fashion, in response to Christ asking you to pray about more “workers into His harvest field.”

What happened to the disciples in Matthew 10?

(I told you this was not safe!!!)
